i am sooo quitting sugar

weeks ago, i stumbled across Sarah Wilson’s YouTube video of her “60 minutes” interview. i can’t even remember how i got there, the rabbit hole had a few twists in it that day. anyways, the video is pretty powerful stuff. the message is simple though. sugar = pretty much sucks.

this led me to check out Sarah’s blog, & subsequently her e-books, which whooshed into my cart, printed themselves (& stapled themselves too!) & have been sitting on my kitchen bench since. I’ve read the books, & a little more research, again ordered some books through my old pal amazon (gawdlurve that xch rate atm!) on the evils of sugar, and a bit of background into whats known as the Paleo Diet, both in hardcopy and e-book. (you can find these tittles jotted down in the inspiration & research menu tab, when they get here….)

so even though my research is young, i don’t think that, considering my extra kilo-ness, it’s not going to do me any harm following Sarah’s plan & quitting sugar.

so. i quit sugar.

and it was hard not to take a swig of diet coke to clear my icky phlegmy throat when i woke up this morning (owh, is that tooooo much info?) remembering that i had promised myself to start today. but a fresh bottle of sparkling mineral water did the trick, & bingo, no sugar.

Sarah’s program is 8 weeks long, & at the end you basically have eliminated all forms of added sugar to your diet, & also the bad guys that camouflage themsleves as good guys.

week 1 is about starting to cut back. or starting at the wadding end of the big kids pool.

i’m cutting back all those obvious things this week.

diet coke = gone (done this before, just quit, cold turkey. not a big deal for me, but it has turned back into a bit of a habit, so time to kick it).

chocolate = gone (ouch).

snack crap = gone.

yep, that’ll do. im expecting to fall off the wagon, but thats ok. I’m ok.
